Pat Skene is associate research professor of neurobiology at Duke University and a member of the Duke Institute for Brain Sciences. He spent much of his career studying genes involved in brain development and repair before attending law school at Duke. His research now focuses on decision making and scientific evidence in law. He was the 2016-17 AAAS fellow at the Federal Judicial Center.
