David Collins is a justice of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand. He previously served on the High Court of New Zealand. He has served as Solicitor-General of New Zealand, president of the Wellington District Law Society, vice president of the New Zealand Law Society, and an honorary member of the law faculty of Victoria University of Wellington. He holds an LLM degree from Duke Law School and served as the Bolch Judicial Institute Distinguished Judge in Residence in 2019.
